Jamshedpur, July 28: A separate ticket counters will be set up for women along with the present for senior citizens, freedom fighters and specially challenged.
Railway board has ordered all the zone and division for setting up of separate counters for women.
The Railway Board has said that apart from senior citizens, freedom fighters and specially challenged, separate arrangements for tickets for woman should be made so that they can easily get tickets.
At railway stations where there are no separate arrangements for tickets, woman can avail the tickets directly from reservation counters. Women don�t need to stand with the men for getting tickets.
According to the orders from railway board, at railway stations where more than 120 tickets are sold will have separate arrangements.
Four railway stations Tatanagar, Rourkela, Jharsuguda and Chakradharpur under the Chakradharpur division sell more than 120 reservation and general tickets every day.
At these four stations, specially challenged, senior citizens, freedom fighters along with for woman there would be separate counters for tickets.
