Jamshedpur: Shobha Rani Mandal, a resident of Shankarda village of Potka, was released from Tata Main Hospital on Thursday despite her inability to pay the hospitalization expenses worth Rs 35,000, courtesy District Legal Services Authority.
Sources said the DLSA Secretary SN Sikdar wrote letters to East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar, SDO Madhavi Mishra, District Civil Surgeon and Tata Steel Vice President (Corporate Services) Sunil Bhaskaran seeking waiver of the woman�s hospitalization bills.
Mandal was soon released from the hospital. She was injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Narwa Road in Jadugora on 11th May last.
