Gamharia: A 46-year-old woman died, and her husband was injured on Monday when a speeding car rammed their two-wheeler near Udaipur village in the Gamharia block.
The victims, identified as Usha Yadav (46) and her husband Nakul Yadav (50), were residents of Mirudih New Basti. The couple was returning home on their Luna after completing painting work near Gamharia More when a car approaching from behind reportedly hit their vehicle.
Emergency Response and Medical Care
Upon receiving news of the mishap, the couple’s son, Suraj Kumar, rushed to the accident site with his brother. The injured couple was immediately transported to Tata Main Hospital (TMH).
Tragically, doctors at the hospital declared Usha Yadav dead on arrival. Nakul Yadav received medical treatment for his injuries and was later discharged.
Police Investigation
Local police have taken cognisance of the incident. An investigation has been initiated to identify the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run and to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
