Jamshedpur, Nov 23: Sitaramdera police raided Indranagar and arrested Lakshmi alias Putli with 47 packets of Brown Sugar while his associates managed to escape. In this case, the police are looking for her other associates Mini Bhuyan, Roshni Kaivarto, Mangal Bhuyan, Andhu Rajak and Roshan Singh. Lakshmi is also seven months pregnant.
The police had arrested Lakshmi in the case of selling brown sugar in January last itself. After two months, she was released on bail and again started the business of buying and selling brown sugar. Significantly, raids are going on in the city regarding the purchase and sale of brown sugar. Business people are getting caught. Nevertheless, the business continues.
