Chaibasa, Feb 28: Children, while fishing at Rodo River near Mochisai village in Chaibasa, caused an eye injury to one of their friends, six year old Jitu Bhuinya. The incident happened on Sunday at 8 am. According to information, one of jitu’s friends inserted a piece of wire in Jitu’s eye leaving the child writhing in pain. On being informed, Jitu’s family members arrived at the spot and carried him to the local hospital from where the child was sent to MGMC Hospital in Jamshedpur. Since treatment facility of the injury was not available at the MGMC Hospital, Jitu was referred to RIMS in Ranchi. Jitu’s father Dinesh Bhuinya said that he had one daughter and a son, Jitu. Jitu is a student of class 2. On Sunday, Jitu had gone along with his friends to fish at the Rodo River. Dinesh stated that while playing the friends had some altercations during which someone had poked a wire in Jitu’s eye. Seeing Jitu writhing in agony, the other children ran away from the spot.
