Jamshedpur,: Sports Department of Tata Steel conducted the Inter Divisional Carrom Championship on 21st & 22nd June at Table Tennis Hall, JRD Tata Sports Complex.
In the final match of the championship Wire Division, Tarapore beat FAMD A by 2 sets to 1.
Saurav Kumar Sinha, ADC (East Singhbhum), was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes along with Ashish Kumar, Head Sports.
On the occasion, Unit representatives of all the 17 teams and employees of Sports dept were present. Hassan Imam conducted the closing function and welcomed the guests.
Tilak Ram was the Chief Referee of the championship and was assisted by Mohan Sinha, B K Padhi, Srinivas Sahoo, Ramakant Patra and K D Singh.
Avinash Kumar conducted the entire championship and was ably supported by his team member, Satish, Firoz, Hassan, Punam, Renu, Arun Sinha, V Goswami and staffs team of Sports complex.
Total of 29 teams from 17 units participated. SS (A &B), FP (A &B), E & P (A &B), LP, JCAPCPL (A & B), Iron Makings (A & B), JUSCO (A & B), West Bokaro,
General Offices (A&B), FAMD (A & B), ISWP (A & B), Tata Pigments (A & B), TSK, TRLK (A&B), HRM (A&B), OMQ and Wire Division.
Matches were played on knock out basis and each match was of best of 3 sets.
