Winners of APR Nair sports competition honored in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The annual sports competition organized by the Aman Welfare Society in Mango in memory of APR Nair concluded on Tuesday with a prize distribution ceremony. A total of 300 school children participated in the sports events, which took place from September 1. Winners from various categories were awarded medals for their achievements.

The program, organized under the guidance of social worker Dr. Afroz Shakeel, included multiple activities such as a blood donation camp, sports competitions, and awards for outstanding sports teachers, all held in memory of APR Nair. The event was attended by Md. Tahir Hussain, Rafat Ara, and others.

Dr. Afroz Shakeel has been leading these activities annually, which also includes a football tournament in slum colonies, an athletics event for school children, the Pratibha Samman ceremony, and honoring the best sports teachers from various city schools with the APR Nair Award. These month-long events are organized to pay tribute to APR Nair and have been successfully conducted each year.
