Hemant Soren confirms seat-sharing deal with Congress
Jamshedpur, Oct 19: Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand on Saturday said that the Government will take up the issue of construction of NH 33 with the Central Government.
Talking to the newsmen at Sonari aerodrome, Soren, said that the Government is aware of the situation and a detailed report has been sort from the road construction department on the hurdles associated with it.
He expressed confidence that the long pending demand for the state-of � the art NH 33 in Jharkhand will soon be realized. The project of NH-33 is estimated at Rs 1479 crore covers a stretch of 164 kms between Ranchi to Mohulia (near Jamshedpur).
The concessionaire Madhucon Projects Limited has spent Rs 2.5 crore on repair work on stretch after instruction of Governor’s advisor K Vijay Kumar in March.
Talking further Soren conceded that seat-sharing agreement with the alliance partner Congress for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls is correct.
�Yes, we have been agreed upon with Congress on 10/4 (10 Congress and 4 JMM) seat-sharing formula but it is yet to be decided who will Contest from which constituency,� said Soren replying to a media query.
Hemant Soren candid response on the seat-sharing formula with the Congress has come in the backdrop of JMM chief Shibu Soren�s October 6 statement where he denied having entered into any seat-sharing agreement with the Grand Old Party of the General Elections.
