Ranchi, Nov. 15: Jharkhand today celebrated its foundation day with Governor Droupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Raghubar Das fondly remembering Bhagawan Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary.
Paying tributes to the freedom fighter, the governor said Bhagawan Birsa Munda had sacrificed his life for the nation.
The Chief Minister said Bhagawan Birsa Munda imagined a society free of exploitation, corruption and fear and called upon taking a pledge to accomplice it.
Mr. Das while addressing the gathering said, ‘State government will take possible step to make Jharkhand a developed state by 2019. I am here to serve the people of the state and we are on the track to make Jharkhand developed in the next 5 years and make it world’s most developed state in the next 10 years”, he added.
The main function was held at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium Morabadi where Governor Draupadi Murmu was present as the Chief Guest along with the cabinet ministers of the Raghubar Government. Earlier, Mr Das offered floral tributes on the Samadhi of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at Kokar and also garlanded his statue at Birsa Chowk.
Chief Minister also inaugurated various mobile applications including, M-Samvad, Garbage Management Information System, Crime Information System, Jharkhand Blood Donor Information System, Plantation Management Information System, Nursery Management Information System, Jharkhand Crop Information Syatem, Inspection Report Information System, Jharseva 9e-district0, Karamchari Sewa Plus, Vidhi Portal, Mobile based Public Grievance Redressal System for RMC and Online Map sanctioning Application for RMC.
Various rural drinking water supply schemes, including Ormanjhi, Chumba, Bengabad and Gomia were inaugurated while foundation for expansion of Mango Drinking Water Supply Project was laid.
Mr Das also launched Mukhyamantri Jan Van Yojana, Screening facility for Sickle Cell Anemia and Telemedicine Yojana in five primary healthcare centers and Mukhyamantri Vidya Laxmi Yojana. He also distributed cows to the women of rural areas and also announced the launch of new policy for tendu leaves.
He officially announced the commencement of operations of the Anti- Corruption Bureau in the state. Jharkhand, which was carved out of Bihar on November 15, 2000, is celebrating the day with a slew of foundation stone laying ceremonies and inaugurating developmental works and programmes.
