Jamshedpur, October 6: A fancy dress competition for Jamshedpur school students was organised during the 4th day of the wildlife week celebrations at the Tata Steel Zoological Park on Thursday.
Bhavya Sahu of Kerala Public School (KPS) Kadma was declared the winner in the Junior Category (Nursery & Lower KG) and Nandita of Kerala Public School Gamharia was the winner in the Senior Category (Upper KG & Std 1).
In the junior category- Aradhya Ojha of KPS Kadma received the second prize while Kush Yadav of Baldwin Farm Area was third. Consolation Prize was received by Akanksha of KPS Kadma.
In the senior category- Shrestha of Valley View School won the second prize, Harsh Masih of Valley View was third while Anany also of Valley View won the consolation prize.
The event was sponsored by Lions Club of Steel City, Jamshedpur. The Chief Guest for the programme was Rajnish Kumar, District Governor, Lions Club International. The programme was judged by Vandana Mishra, Indu Gandhi, Pranati Dash and Sunita Singh.
Present during the Fancy Dress Competition from Tata Steel Zoological Park were Bipul Chakrabarty, Director, S.K. Mahato, Curator and Zoo Staff Pratap Singh Gill, Ali Akhtar Khan, Shefali Das, Sunil Kar, S.K. Singh, Vijay Mukhi ,Lalan Kumar and M. Kumar.
Wildlife Week celebrations 2016 is being coordinated by Dr. Seema Rani, Biologist cum Education Officer, Tata Steel Zoological Park and , Iram, Kiran, Priya, Vidhan, Vinay� Zoo Volunteers.
On the final day of the Wildlife Week Celebrations On The Spot Painting Competition will be held in the Zoo Picnic Area. This will be followed by the Closing Ceremony in the presence of the Chief Guest Rishad. M. Chinoy Secretary, Tata Steel Zoological Society.
