Ranchi, June 30: The wife of the man lynched in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh village on Thursday has blamed Bajrang Dal activists for the murder.
They were rogues owing allegiance to Bajrang Dal,” said Mariam Khatoon, referring to those involved in her husband Alimuddin’s lynching. Alimuddin aka Asgar Ansari was lynched on Thursday after some men suspected him of carrying beef.
Prohibitory orders were imposed under Section 144 of the CrPC in all six blocks of Ramgarh on Friday, which would preventing assembly of more than four persons.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das on Friday directed the state police to take strict action against those involved in the incident.
Around 30 people on Thursday surrounded Alimuddin’s van in the Bazaar Tand area of Ramgarh police station.
Allimuddin, a resident of neighbouring Hazaribagh district, was dragged out of the vehicle and thrashed by the men. His van was also set on fire.
