Wife dies hearing news of her husband’s death

Koderma: A touching and surprising case came to light from Langrapipar under Nagar panchayat area of Koderma district of Jharkhand. Here, as soon as a woman got the news of her husband’s death, she also died.

The woman’s name was Jeetani Devi, who would have been around 67 years old. The husband’s name was Mohan Pandit, who would have been around 70 years old. Family members told that on hearing the news of husband Mohan Pandit’s death, wife Jeetani Devi also lost her breath. This couple proved the vow they had taken years ago to live and die together true.

Family members told that Mohan Pandit’s BP suddenly increased last night due to which he fell down on the ground. After which the family took him to Koderma Sadar for treatment, but the doctors referred him to Ranchi for better treatment. Mohan Pandit’s family was taking him to Ranchi when he died on the way. On hearing the news of her husband’s death, Mohan Pandit’s wife got shocked and started crying. While crying, suddenly the wife became silent. The family saw that she too had stopped breathing.

The news of the death of husband and wife spread like wildfire in Domchanch of Koderma. People started gathering around their house. People were shocked to hear about the incident. The elderly couple had two sons and one a daughter, all the children are married. Both of them have left behind their entire family. The two funeral pyres are lifted from the village simultaneously.
