Jamshedpur: The wife of contract worker Sanoj Paswan who was killed in a mishap in Tata Steel on Tuesday got a cheque of Rs 5 lakh as compensation from CS Bedi and Company.
Two cheques of Rs 2.5 lakh each and Rs 60,000 in cash were handed to her in the presence of Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP leaders by the representatives of CS Bedi and Company.
The BJP leaders demanded Rs 5 lakh ex gratia and job to the wife of the deceased worker.
Paswan died after hit by a moving machine part during hydraulic cylinder changing job in the LD3 department of Tata Steel in the afternoon.
