Jamshedpur, March 12: �Meteorological Centre has predicted rain covering most of the districts of Kolhan for another 48-hours.
Official of IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre ,today said the western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over Pakistan has converted into a� depression.
” As per our study cyclonic circulation was extending upto 9.5 Km above mean sea level tilting westwards.Today’s satellite pictures and chart analysis indicated fairly widespread rain in Jharkhand for another 48 hours. The impact of the western disturbance would wane from March 16. Scattered rainfall would continue on March 15,” said the official.

The meteorological department also predicted heavy rain at a few isolated places over central Jharkhand tomorrow.
Meanwhile, several places including Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Latehar witnessed rain for the second consecutive day today. The local IMD observatory recorded 9 mm of rain while Ranchi experienced around 1 mm of rain.
Reports of rain also poured in from Simdega, Chakradharpur and Chaibasa in West Singhbhum, Ramgarh, Chandil and Nimdih in adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district and Ghatshila in East Singhbhum.
Most places including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Daltonganj, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Chaibasa in West Singhbhum , Garwah and Latehar for the last two days recorded day’s reading much below the normal
