Jamshedpur, Feb 24: Team West Singhbhum beat Deoghar by by inning and 19 runs to lift the Randhir Verma Trophy of Senior Inter District (Plate Group) Tournament, 2013-14 played at Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium in Chaibasa.
The match ended on day 3 after Deoghar managed 129 runs in the second innings thanks to power spell of bowling by Y. Krishnatry who took 7 wickets. Anip and Prakash took one wicket each. West Singhbhum scored 324 runs in the first innings while Deoghar managed 176 in the first innings and 129 in the second innings only.
Y. Krishnatry of West Singhbhum was awarded the man of the match were Chief Guest for the function was Manoj Kumar (Vice President, JSCA) and Distinguished Guest was P.N. Singh, Dist. Convenor, JSCA.
