Jamshedpur: Unidentified miscreants set fire to a Hyva vehicle engaged in a crucial road construction project in the Anandpur region of West Singhbhum. The calculated attack, which saw the heavy vehicle completely gutted, has not only caused significant financial losses but has also brought local infrastructure development to a grinding halt.
While the identity of the attackers remains unconfirmed, the incident follows a period of heightened tension in the district after the recent “Medhaburu” operation in January, where security forces neutralized 15 insurgents.
Sources said the assailants reached the construction spot, torched the heavy vehicle, and escaped before anyone could intervene. The Hyva was completely gutted in the fire, resulting in heavy losses and halting the ongoing road project. Following the incident, tension prevailed in the locality.
On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation to trace those involved. Additional security has been deployed in the area, while officials have assured that the culprits will be identified and dealt with strictly.
