West Bengal patient tests positive at TMH, cases rise to 26 in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Despite all the efforts, number of corona positive is increasing rapidly in Kolhan. Another Corona positive case was reported in the city on Tuesday. The patient who hails from Purulia in West Bengal was being treated at TMH. He was admitted on 24 May while his test reported positive today. He was immediately shifted to the corona ward of TMH. Along with this, people coming in contact with him are being identified. With another corona positive on Tuesday, the number of corona positives in East Singhbhum has increased to 26.

Corona positive cases in Seraikela-Kharsawan district are four while in West Singhbhum it is ten. Thus, the number of Corona positives in Kolhan has risen to 40 on Tuesday.

One of the three coronavirus positives recently reported in Jamshedpur was a 24-year-old girl who had returned home at Bidhyapati Nagar in Baridih from Kolkata.  As she had moved in the neighbourhood before being put in the home quarantine, the health department has set up a containment zone. Another coronavirus positive patient who is a 30-year-old woman is wife of a Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) jawan.  The woman returned from Arah district of Bihar and started living in the JAP – VI camp area before she was put in the home quarantine. Thus administration turned the entire JAP-VI in Sidhgora area into a containtainment zone. In yet another case, a 28-year-old youth was tested coronavirus positive.  The youth used to live in a community hall near the water tower area in Sidhgora. Despite the place he would stay is surrounded by residential quarters of Tata Steel employees, the administration has turned the water tower area also into a containment zone.
