Jamshedpur: Bagbera-Kitadih Panchayat representatives led by Zila Parishad member Kishor Yadav, met Chief Minister Raghubar Das at his Agrico residence and demanded the removal of contretemps in the matter of laying water pipeline in the 13 Bagbera Bastis.
The letter of demand handed to the Chief Minister included the railway administration�s price factor of Rs 18.50 crore for laying 23 km pipeline in the 13 Bagbera-Kitadih bastis be arranged by the state government.
It further stated that the district administration after issuing a no-objection certificate demanded an amount of Rs 10.82 lakh that was passed on to the railway department by the Drinking water and Sanitation Department.
The rail administration, vide an interim order demanded Rs 18 crore as land rent for 10 years as condition for laying pipeline in the 13 bastis. Zila Parishad member Kishor Yadav urged the Chief Minister that in view of the acute water crisis in the Kitadih-Bagbera 13 bastis, the amount quoted be either waived or arranged for by the government.
The delegation comprised Panchayat Samiti member Dharmendra Chauhan, Mukhiya Gauri Toppo, Deputy Mukhiya Sunil Gupta, Niraj Singh, Shravan Mishra, Malati Chaudhary, Dilip Sharma and others.
