Seraikela: A voters� awareness campaign was organized in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Thursday. The deputy commissioner Hansraj Singh flagged off the campaign team.
Chhau dancers are also there in the team that would visit villages and tell people about their voting rights and its importance. Many volunteers have been selected for creating awareness in the district.
They will be organizing street-corner plays and perform dance drama at public places to apprise voters of their rights and duties. The DC-cum-district returning officer said the election awareness campaign for voters in the first stage had been successful.
He said the administration has fixed a target of ensuring a polling percentage of 70 to 75 in Seraikela-Kharsawan.
