Voter mapping drive underway in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Jan 3: In line with instructions from District Election Officer Karn Satyarthi, the Deputy Election Officer conducted inspections of polling stations with low ancestral mapping in Jamshedpur East and West assembly constituencies. Booths inspected included numbers 204, 83, 150, 54, 156 in Jamshedpur East and 248, 226, 264, 245, 262 in Jamshedpur West.

Deputy Election Officer Priyanka Singh emphasized that under the SIR framework, a comprehensive voter mapping campaign is underway, relying on citizen cooperation. BLOs and BLO Supervisors are visiting homes of un-mapped voters to ensure their correct inclusion in the electoral rolls prepared during the recent intensive revision.

She directed officials to engage directly with voters through public outreach programs, urging timely and accurate mapping. Singh highlighted that precise mapping is key to strengthening voter lists, making future revisions smoother and ensuring no eligible voter is left out. Officials were instructed to prioritize verification and maintain accuracy during the process.
