Jamshedpur: Members of Voice of Humanity, a city-based social organization, distributed blankets among the poor and needy people of the city on Wednesday. They visited various city areas including Sakchi, Kadma, Sonari, Bistupur, Jugsalai, Sidhgora and Baridih and found out the destitute sleeping rough in the cold.
The outfit founder Hari Singh said many people lose their lives due to cold every year.
In view of the hardships faced by the resourceless people, the outfit has decided to continue its blanket distribution programme year after year, he said.
The Good Samaritans included Hari Singh, Shambhu Choudhary, Mohan, Ajay, Vimal, Nisar, Manish, Sudhanshu, Subhojit, Sandeep, Abhishek, Jagdeep, Kaushal, Rahul, Roshan, Neeraj, Huzaifa, Vikas, Gopal, Binod and Mithun.
