Tata Workers’ Union hosts inspirational session by visually impaired entrepreneur at Michael John Auditorium
Jamshedpur, July 21: “Choosing the right path, working diligently, and fearlessly embracing failures are mantra of success,” said the visually impaired Dr Bhavesh Bhatia who started business on footpaths and climbed the economic ladder to be a man worth Rs 350 crore.
The Michael John Auditorium in Jamshedpur witnessed a captivating and motivational session as renowned speaker, Dr Bhavesh Bhatia, addressed an eager audience today. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd and was live streamed for Tata Steel employees across all locations.
Dr Bhavesh Bhatia, a visually impaired entrepreneur and the founder of Sunrise Candles in Maharashtra, inspired the audience with his remarkable journey. Despite facing challenges due to retina macular degeneration, he achieved remarkable success and participated in Paralympic games, earning several medals.

The event, organized to uplift spirits and encourage self-belief, captivated the audience for nearly two hours.
The session commenced with a warm welcome from Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, President of Tata Workers’ Union (TWU), who emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from Dr Bhatia’s life story.
Satish Kumar Singh, General Secretary of TWU, highlighted the TWU`s century-long journey and the significance of hard work in achieving success.

Atrayee Sanyal, Vice President of Human Resource Management at Tata Steel, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and commended Tata Workers Union’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Dr Bhatia’s impactful speech left a profound impression on the audience, emphasizing the value of perseverance, dedication, and positivity in achieving personal and professional goals. Through heartfelt stories and real-life examples, he encouraged listeners to embrace self-belief and determination.

Dr Bhatia stressed the importance of having a clear vision in life and the significance of hard work in achieving success. Drawing an analogy, he compared a person without vision to a car without fuel, emphasizing that one must set clear goals and work diligently to achieve them. He encouraged the audience not to be disheartened by failures but to forge new paths and recognize their inner potential.
Reflecting on his own journey as the founder of Sunrise Candle, which provided employment opportunities to approximately 10,000 visually impaired individuals, Dr Bhatia shared his admiration for successful individuals and the wisdom he gained from the words of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He stressed the importance of marketing and productivity, emphasizing that one must break free from self-imposed limitations and strive for success.
The event left a lasting impression on all attendees, instilling a sense of determination and self-belief, fostering a spirit of resilience and determination to achieve greatness.
The event saw the presence of distinguished attendees, including Vice Presidents of Tata Steel, heads of Tata Steel group companies, TWU Past Presidents, representatives from other company unions, TWU Committee Members, and employees of the company.
