Viraat Singh of Carmel Junior College to join Apple for internship

Jamshedpur, May 9: Viraat Singh, a student of Carmel Junior College, has brought laurels to its alma mater by scoring 96.8 percent marks in ICSE exams.

He has not only scored 4th rank in his school but icing on the cake is he has been selected for summer internship by Apple. Based on his performance, Viraat has been selected by Apple�s India based wing for internship. He has actively participated in a lot of extracurricular activities along with regular studies.

Viraat has joined Pathways World School and has been chosen for a non-regular IB program for high level physics, chemistry, mathematics and computers.

He also stood third in the science Olympiad in the country and was awarded a scholarship of Rs5000 rupees which he donated to relief fund through his school Carmel Junior College. A winner of many national and international events while representing Carmel has tremendous gratitude for his school teachers as he moves ahead in life. He aspires to do engineering.

�Regardless of which ever field I take up as a career my motto would be to ensure development of
India with the small contributing of mine. I am looking forward to make a career in the field of engineering,” stated Viraat.

�I am of the opinion that there is no substitute to hard work. I worked for 6-7 hours round the year and revised my course regularly. I was expecting good marks but this is definitely beyond my
expectations,� he said.
