Noamundi: The villagers of Tontoposi staged a demonstration at Electricity Department and locked the officers around four hours inside the office under Noamundi Block on Saturday.
The villagers were demanding electric connection in their village. Assistant engineer asked the villagers to put in applications for electrification.
The department officers assured the villagers that the electrification work would be completed within a month. Thereupon the officers were released.
