Jamshedpur, Dec. 5: Villagers along with the support of panchayat representatives voluntary donation helped repair the 4 km road from Tiruldih to Navagar village under Ichagarh panchayat in Gamharia block.
On the occasion mukhiya Ravindra Sardar said, Baroda construction had constructed the road three years back and the foundation was laid by MLA Champai Soren but two months after the construction the road started deteriorating.
The condition of the road got worse with huge potholes which made life difficult not only for vehicle riding but for pedestrians also.
He further said, local along with panchayat representatives had several times asked the district administration to help repair the road but no action was taken and the villagers through voluntary donation helped repair the road.
At the event gram pradhan Rathu Mahato, Ward member Harekrishna Kalindi, Salma Tudu, Ram Behera, Satya Narayan Mahato, Jaydev Pradhan, Raju Ho, Gurba, Jitendra Nath Mahato along with several villagers were present.
