Gamharia, Oct. 28: Under Nuwagdh panchayat the villagers of Dhatkidih have opposed the change of booth centre at the divisional headquarters on Tuesday.
The villagers said that in the past they had easy access to the voting centers, but now it has been changed, as they will now have to cover a considerable distance to vote for the panchayat members.
Villagers sent a memorandum addressed to the district deputy commissioner in respect and demanded immediate address to the problem.
Gauranga Barik, Rajesh Barik, Shakuntala Devi, Badal Barik and a number of villagers signed the memorandum.
