Jamshedpur, April 30: The summer season has taken its full effect and people in and around Jamshedpur are facing huge water crisis.

The Jojo tola in Gaud village of the Gwalkanta panchayat around seven km from Jadugoda is suffering from severe drinking water crisis.

There is a huge outcry among the villagers for the need of water. Even after 70 years of Independence the villagers of Jojo tola are constrained to dig grounds to bring out water for their drinking purpose. The five handpumps in the tola give out polluted water.

Mukhiya of the village Sitaram Hansda said, ‘We are facing acute drinking water scarcity and it’s high time the state government should take action and help construct a water tower in the village’.

He further said that the villagers should be provided with drinking water facility at the earliest otherwise the villagers of Jojo tola will be forced to protest before the block office.
