Vigilance Awareness Week concludes at UCIL

Jadugora: The Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations at Uranium Corporation of India Limited came to a conclusion here on Saturday.

The general manager of UCIL PN Sarkar was the chief guest of the event.

Addressing company employees in the Conference Room, Sarkar said there was need to impart education on ethics to the young generation in order to create a corruption-free society. He said the people should come forward and blow whistle against corruption at all levels of the society.

Sarkar said the primary education being given in schools should include lessons on ethics. He said the various methods found effective in eliminating corruption from the society should be utilized to weed out the evil from the society. He further said that there was need for transparency in the daily transactions everywhere.

A quiz contest was held at the conclusion of the programme. The three winners Sonaram Lohra, Sunita Mahato and Arjun Sahu were awarded by the guests.

Company officials said that the Vigilance Awareness Week was also observed at the Industrial Training Centre.

The programme was conducted by the additional manager of UCIL Girish Gupta. Many UCIL officials were present on the occasion. They included N Patil, SK Guha Niyogi, Uday Kumar, Prabhas Ranjan, SK Burma, Sanjeev Ranjan, HN Rajak and RK Singh.
