Vidyut and nine others file nomination on last day

Jamshedpur: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Vidyut Varan Mahato and nine others filed their nomination on Wednesday for the Lok Sabha polls at Jamshedpur constituency.

Former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and several senior BJP leaders including Jamshedpur East MLA Raghuvar Das, former Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Rai and former state BJP president Dr Dineshanand Goswami were present during the nomination. A large number of party members and supporters were present outside the DC office.

The main road turned into a crowded zone as a large number of party activists and supporters gathered outside the venue for nomination. Today was the last day for filing nomination for Parliamentary elections. The election for Jamshedpur and five other constituencies will be held in the second phase on 17th April.

Among others who filed nomination included Dinesh Mahato, independent, Sitaram Tudu, SUCI, Kumar Chandra Mardi, Aam Admi Party, Doman Chandra Bhakta BSP, Josai Mardi, Rashtriya Deshaj Party, Fajal Khan, Trinamool Congress, DG Raja, Samajwadi Party, Sharad Dholakia, independent and Mithilesh Das, independent. The last day for withdrawing nomination is 29th March.
