Jamshedpur, October 18: The “Inter-Team and Inter-School Basketball Tournament” concluded at the TML Sports Complex on October 18, 2025, with exciting matches in men’s, boys’, and girls’ categories. The tournament was organized under the aegis of the Tata Motors Sports Department.
In the inter-team category, Trans Excel faced Nano Warriors in a closely contested final. Trans Excel emerged victorious with a convincing 44-18 win. Mr. Chetan Kumar of Trans Excel was named the best player of the tournament for his outstanding performance.
In the inter-school category for boys, Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya defeated Hill Top School with a score of 68-52, dominating the match from start to finish. In the girls’ category, Chinmaya once again outclassed Hill Top School, winning 51-27. Neeraj Kumar (boys) and Akancha Kumari (girls) from Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya were selected as the best players of the tournament.
The winners and runners-up were felicitated by City Superintendent of Police Kumar Shivashish, ER Head Soumik Roy, Rajat Kumar Singh, Head of Town Administration, and Ashish Sen from Town Administration, Tata Motors.
The tournament highlighted teamwork, skill, and competitive spirit among participants, while also promoting sportsmanship and enthusiasm for basketball across schools and teams in the city.
This year’s finals reflected high energy and strong performances, with both Trans Excel and Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya showcasing exceptional talent and strategy on the court.
