Jamshedpur: Vishwa Hindu Parishad members condemned the incident of stone pelting and firing on Bajrang Dal activists in Hazaribagh on Tuesday and announced to burn the effigy of the ‘Jihadis’ in the city tomorrow.

“It is unfortunate that innocent Bajrang Dal activists were attacked by anti-nationals on their way near Hazaribagh by fanatic ‘Jihadists’. The jihadists pelted stones on ‘Mukteshwari’ bus that carried the Bajrang Dal activists. The Bajrang Dal activists were returning after participating in seven day Shaurya Prashikshan Shivir.

Several members of Bajrang Dal including the state co-convener were injured in the incident. Eight of them were taken to Ranchi,” said Arun Singh, president of Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit of VHP.

In view of the incident, VHP members convened meetings at Sakchi and Gamharia (in Seraikela-Kharsawan). It was unanimously decided to take out a procession tomorrow from Shitla Mandir, Sakchi, to Sakchi roundabout to protest the incident. Effigies of the culprits would be burnt at the roundabout, said the VHP leaders.

Among others present at today’s meeting included Virendra Gupta, Suman Agrawal, Janardan Pandey, Gautam Prasad, Santosh Verma, Jamuna Dubey, Rajeev Prasad and Ashwini Tiwary.
