Verification Begins for Reserved Seats in Jamshedpur Private Schools

Jamshedpur: The process of verifying applications for reserved seats in private schools has officially begun. With over 3,000 applications received for just 1,750 seats, the District Education Department has started a rigorous certificate verification process to ensure fairness in admissions.

An official from the department stated, “Our objective is to ensure that only deserving students receive admissions under the reserved category. Any application with incorrect or forged documents will be immediately rejected.” The verification process is expected to be completed before March 15, following which only genuine applications will be forwarded to respective schools.

For schools where applications exceed available seats, a lottery system will be implemented to ensure a fair selection process. The lottery draw will be conducted in the presence of parents to maintain transparency.

Once the education department finalizes the verification, schools will conduct an additional round of scrutiny before finalizing admissions. “Even after the department’s verification, we will check the documents again at our level. Only those who meet all requirements will be admitted,” said a private school principal.

This year, as in previous years, schools with higher application numbers will resort to a lottery system. The final process of forwarding verified applications to schools will commence after March 15, ensuring that no ineligible student secures admission through forged or incorrect documents.
