Vendors resist eviction in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 20 : Police and district administration had to face resistance when they reached to evict the shopkeepers who were making a living by temporarily setting up shop near the fruit market in Sakchi.

 Police say that the said land belongs to Sakchi TOP and it has to be taken into possession. Several times notices were sent to the roadside shopkeepers to vacate, but they are adamant on their stubbornness.

The temporary shopkeepers say that for the last 70 years they are earning livelihood by setting up shop here and they had received token from JNAC.
