Jamshedpur: Members of Vastu Vihar Chhath Ghat cum Temple Construction Trust on Sunday raised voice of protest against several local residents for allegedly trying to encroach upon a government land situated close to Vastu Vihar residential colony in Mango.
The Trust members, in a press conference, alleged that several members of a local land mafia were trying to usurp the government land. They said the Vastu Vihar residents and other local people had cleaned the said plot in order to use it for various public functions and religious ceremonies.
They further said that they had sent a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Amit Kumar seeking action against the land mafia members, but no action was taken by the district administration in this regard.
