Jamshedpur, Feb. 4: Team India speedster Varun Aaron married his fiancé and childhood friend Ragini Singh in a traditional Christian ceremony here on Thursday.
The couple, who tied the knot in February 1, took their marriage vows at St. Mary’s church in Bistupur area of the city today. Ragini looked stunning in a traditional white gown, while Varun was tall and handsome in a jet black suit.
Father Chonas Zalco performed the rituals as the head priest, wherein ten other priests were also present. Father Vincent David, principal, St. Mary’s English School, Father Sebastian Puthenpura, principal, Loyola School, the couples’ family members, foreign guests, close friends along with several prominent people of the city were present.
Varun and Ragini arrived in different Nano cars. Varun’s car was decorated like a ‘hat,’ while Ragini’s car was festooned like a princess’ crown. As they entered the church campus, photographers surrounded both the cars and to immortalize the moment.
The entire church was decorated with beautiful flowers and lights wherein a 15-member team of Foto Me, including photographers, videographers and drone camera, recorded every single move of the couple, guests and the church. The wedding ceremony, which began at 5 p.m. ended at 6.30 p.m., following which the newlyweds came out of the church holding their hands.
However, the crowd that had gathered at the venue anticipating the presence of star cricketers was disappointed, as K L Rahul was the only Indian Test cricketer present on the occasion. While cricketer Murli Vijay and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav left the city on Thursday morning, Jharkhand Ranji players and Varun’s friends from Loyola School were present.
