Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Strategizes for Tribal Congregation

Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Metropolitan Committee of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram held a meeting on Sunday at Tulsi Bhawan, Bistupur, to strategize for an upcoming national tribal event. A large number of metropolitan committee members, women activists, well-wishers, and tribal youth attended the session.

Focus on “Janjatiya Sanskritik Samagam”

Prafulla Akant, the North Central Zonal Organizing Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, provided guidance to the workers. He shared detailed plans for the “Janjatiya Sanskritik Samagam” (Tribal Cultural Congregation) scheduled for May 24, 2026, at the Red Fort Grounds in Delhi.

• Objective: The congregation aims to preserve the faith, identity, traditions, and culture of tribal communities.

• Participation: Tribal members from across the country will participate in this massive gathering.

• Legacy: Akant highlighted the organization’s 73-year history of service in education and self-reliance, urging workers to inspire maximum public participation.

Launch of “Seva Patra Yojana”

The committee officially launched the “Seva Patra Yojana” during the meeting. Sushil Kumar Pandey, the Metropolitan Head of the scheme, explained that the initiative seeks to secure greater cooperation and dedication for the holistic development of tribal society.

Formation of Women’s Committee

To accelerate social service efforts, the organization formed the Jamshedpur Metropolitan Women’s Committee. The newly appointed officials took an oath to drive community welfare projects forward.
