Vande Bharat train engine stoppage indication board installed at Tatanagar Station

Preparations Underway at Tatanagar Station Ahead of Flag-Off

Jamshedpur, September 5:  In preparation for the upcoming launch of the Vande Bharat Express, Tatanagar railway station has marked the designated departure points for trains heading to Patna (Bihar) and Berhampur (Odisha). On Thursday, the Railway Carriage Department installed a board for the Vande Bharat train’s engine at platform numbers four and five, positioned centrally to reduce walking distance for passengers arriving via the foot overbridge.

This installation follows an order from the Chakradharpur division, which has directed all stations to fix specific locations for the Vande Bharat train. Preparations are in full swing for the official flagging off of the Patna and Berhampur Vande Bharat Express trains by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, scheduled for 15th September 2024.

As Tatanagar will cater 3 Vande Bharat from upcoming week (Ranchi – Howrah already running and TATA – Patna + TATA – Berhampur will be introduced), indication boards for Vande Bharat have been installed on various Platforms.

Additionally, Tatanagar station’s washing line number one has been upgraded, and traction has been charged to facilitate the arrival of Vande Bharat rakes from Chakradharpur and Khurda. A trial run is expected within the next two days as the rakes are brought to Tatanagar for final checks before the official launch.
