‘Van Vikas, Jan Vikas’ is the motto of Jharkhand Govt: Raghubar

Ranchi, Feb 4: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that ‘Van-Vikas-Jan Vikas’ is the mool mantra of his government.

Addressing a programme organised at the Forest Training School over conservation of forest and wildlife and their development, the CM said that by following this mantra the state government is working to bring changes in the lives of the poor.
He said that in Jharkhand which is covered with forests one third of the population can be benefited by good marketing and branding of forest produce.

The CM said the exchequer is for the poor and the government was making all possible steps to bring changes in the lives of the poor. He said that tribal development committee and Village Development Committee would be given responsibility of the small schemes and the funds would be directly transferred in their accounts through which they would be responsible for executing the development works.

Das said that by 2019 all the villages of the state would be connected with roads which would enable the farmers to easily transport their goods. He said that the state government was building 8000 kilometers of road while the government would make sure that by end of this year power reaches all the homes in the state.

Das said that Jharkhand has been blessed by the nature due to which the eco-system of the state was full of different types of flora and fauna through which different types of forest products can be manufactured. He said that there are also some special kinds of varieties that if given protection can help a degenerated area go green. He said different types of forest produce can be used to manufacture many items, if processed in a better way.

The CM said that the state government would be providing market to these products and help the poor make a good income and bring changes in their lives. He suggested that the women of the state should be given place in the conservation committees and groups formed for wildlife protection and forest conservation.

Das asked the officials of the department to take help of the people in execution of the schemes which would ensure that they are completed on time and they can be also implemented in a better manner.

Earlier, the CM felicitated the various committees for their better work and inspected the stalls which had been erected at the venue by the forest department.
Those present in the event included Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar, Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare and other officials.
