Jamshedpur: Valley View School and Safari Royals have been crowned the winners in the school and team category respectively of the ‘Soccer Fever’ football tournament organized by Tata Motors Sports Department at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium in Telco.
In the final match played on Friday, August 3, Valley View School was up against Vig English School in the school category.
The match witnessed neck-to-neck contest between both the teams & the match ended in draw (1:1 goal) within the stipulated time. The match was decided with tie breaker where Valley View School won the match with score line 4 –2. Master Amandeep Sharma of Valley View School was adjudged best player of the tournament.
The final match in the Teams category was played between Safari Royals and Prima Challengers. Both the teams played aggressively and gave tough fight to each other and match was goalless within the stipulated time.
But finally Safari Royals won the match in tie breaker with a score line 3-2. Bhim Hansda of Prima Challengers was adjudged best player of the tournament.
On the occasion Ravi Shankar Singh, Head (HR), Sqn. Ldr. Nasib Singh Kadian, Head (Administration & Security), Sudhanshu Padhy, DGM and Gurmeet Singh, President and R K Singh, General Secretary – TML & Drivelines Workers Union felicitated the Winners & Runners-up of the tournament.
