Valhalla kicks-off at XLRI, students across the country participate

Jamshedpur : The B school cultural fest Valhalla was inaugurated today at the campus. On the occasion, 20 artistes trained by T. Krishna Mohan Reddy� mesmerised the audience with their abilities to create formations especially the Dashavtar.

Valhalla which was inaugurated today would conclude on July 26 . The participating teams are from IIM-Calcutta, IIM-Ranchi, IIM- Raipur, XIMB, FMS, SIBM and NMIMS. For marathon enthusiast across the city, Jamshedpur Run has been scheduled on July 26.

The three-day extravaganza shall include a m�lange of events ranging from dance, drama and debate to various sporting spectacles of gladiatorial proportions that would be participated by students from other leading B-Schools in the country including the IIMs, XIMB, FMS, SIBM, and NMIMS along with the home school.

As in the previous years, �Valhalla 2015� yet again prepares to present some of the best talents in the field of music and dance in their Pro-Nights with Prince Dance Group, the ensemble dance troupe from Odisha on July 24 and celebrity singer Shilpa Rao performing on July 25.

In tandem with XLRI�s spirit of �For the Greater Good�, VALHALLA has always had an undertone of social welfare to it. This year too, the festival will be synergistically supporting Milaap, a crowd-funded micro-financing cooperative.

In addition to the title sponsor Philips and Co-sponsor Star, Tata Steel is one of the eminent corporates associated with the fest.

�Started in 2011, Valhalla has become one of the most sought after b-school festivals in the country, witnessing footfall of over 3000 in its previous rendition. We hope that the fourth edition of Valhalla 2015 will unravel itself in all its glory yet again� commented Sahil Kotadia, Convener – Valhalla 2015.

Valhalla, the annual Sports and Cultural fest organized by the students of XLRI Jamshedpur saw its conception in 2012.

Valhalla means the Hall of Heroes in the Norse mythology and aims to provide a wide array of events for students to take part in; ranging from several Individual and team sports, cultural events ranging from Dance and singing; XL BedRock, a full fledged battle of the bands and a unique opportunity to take in an adventure sports experience, in addition to numerous celebrity and local performances.
