Jamshedpur : Members of Vaishya Ekta Manch, Jharkhand Pradesh, celebrated Holi Milan at Ganinath Mandir in Golmuri on Tuesday. The chief guest of the event was the state president of the outfit Baijnath Prasad. In his address, he said there was an urgent need for the Vaishya community to remain united in order to make India a ‘golden bird’ once again. He said the Vaishya community should increase its participation in politics in case it needs security. He cautioned the community members against being used by political parties.
Earlier, presiding over the programme, the district president of the Manch, Rakesh Sahu, said the community should rise above petty differences and vested interests and should first think about the society and nation at large. He said there was need to intensify demand for reservation.
Among others present on the occasion included Shankar Poddar, Sunita Sah, Manju Sah, Deendayal Prasad, Muralidhar Prasad Barnwal, Brahmadev Sharma, Ram Ballabh Sao, Naval Verma, Vishnu Jaisawal, Uttam Kumar Gupta and Rajkishore Prasad.
