Jamshedpur Women’s University working very well,” says Governor Santosh Gangwar, Pledges Improvements in Jharkhand’s Education Sector
Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Tuesday assured that vacant Vice Chancellor positions in the state would be filled soon. Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of second convocation of Jamshedpur Women’s University, he acknowledged that Jharkhand is lagging behind other states in higher education and emphasized the government’s commitment to address this issue. “We are far behind in higher education compared to the rest of the country. We have discussed this matter with the Chief Minister, and soon, through concerted efforts, improvements will be made,” said Gangwar.

Regarding the vacant Vice Chancellor positions in four universities of Jharkhand, the Governor confirmed that the issue was in his knowledge. “The process of appointing Vice Chancellors will be completed soon in all four universities. There has been a slight delay due to the election process in the state, but we have been in talks with many esteemed educationists from across the country about these appointments. We are also inviting them to Jharkhand,” he added.
In response to concerns about Intermediate courses being conducted in Degree Colleges, Gangwar assured that necessary steps would be taken to resolve such issues. “I understand these concerns, and by working in this direction, all complaints will be addressed soon,” he said.
Governor commended Jamshedpur Women’s University for its excellent performance and stressed the need for further improvements in the state’s education sector. “The Women’s University of Jamshedpur is working very well. However, much work remains to be done in the field of education in Jharkhand, and improvements will be seen in the coming days,” he concluded.
