Gamharia: Usha Martin Ltd has been awarded with Environmental Excellence Award for 2015-16 in recognition for steps taken in the field of environmental management. Shrishti Foundation New Delhi conferred ‘Environment Excellence Award’.
On the occasion of World Earth Day Award at a ceremony in New Delhi on Friday, the Indian Forest Service and former Additional General Government Dr. Jagdish Kishan handed over the award.
Usha Martin is known for tree planting, environmental control and rainwater harvesting.
The company’s chief operating officer Amitabh Sarkar said the company is always committed to a clean and green environment and will be delighted to achieve this goal.
