Jamshedpur, Jan 14: Patti Hoffman, consul general, US Consulate General Kolkata addressed a session organised by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Eastern Region at a city hotel on Monday, January 13.
In her address, Hoffman mentioned that, she was extremely happy to be in Jamshedpur, a leading manufacturing hub in eastern India, with a long history of collaboration between companies based here and technology providers in the United States. She said, �The Steel City is home to significant U.S. investments and over the next two days she looked forward to visiting US linked companies like Cummins India Limited and Timken India Limited to learn more about their manufacturing operations here. She also looked forward to visiting India�s largest automobile manufacturer Tata Motors Limited, that too has leveraged U.S. technology to become a leading global company.�

Hoffman also said that, �The United States is strengthening and deepening partnerships with countries like India that share American values. As vibrant democracies rooted in shared values, cultures of entrepreneurship, and leadership positions on the global stage, the United States and India are natural strategic partners. The United States and India, along with other like-minded countries share a vision for South Asia and the broader Indo-Pacific of a free, open, and rules-based societies. The U.S.-India trade and investment relationship is a key pillar of the Indo-Pacific vision of the United States.�
