Upendra Singh murder case: Next court hearing on Nov 26

Jamshedpur, Nov 26: The hearing of JMM leader Upendra Singh that was scheduled for November 22 in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Kumar Dinesh in the murder case of Transporter Upendra Singh, resident of Bagbera Colony, has been rescheduled on November 26. The advocates of Akhilesh Singh and Harish Singh could not appear in the case. The next hearing in the case will be held on Friday.
Special Public Prosecutor Jayaprakash has completed the arguments on behalf of the prosecution in this case. There are other accused including eight named in the murder case, including gangster Akhilesh Singh, Harish Singh, Sonu Singh alias Vicky, Vinod Singh alias Mowgli, Sanjay Jojo, Pankaj Singh, Ajay Yadav, Avinash Srivastava.
Significantly, the Jharkhand High Court has ordered the hearing of the murder case within a month. On November 30, 2016, criminals shot and killed Upendra Singh on the third floor of Jamshedpur District Bar Association at Jamshedpur Court premises. Mowgli and Sonu Singh and Vinod Singh were caught on the spot.
The court has sentenced Sonu Singh and Vinod Singh alias Mowgli to three years each in the weapon used to murder case. Akhilesh Singh is lodged in Dumka jail.
