Jamshedpur: Hundreds of youths participated in open mic sessions, live painting, art exhibitions, mehndi, tattoo-making, quizzes, slogan writing, poster-making, and yoga competitions, with winners awarded for their efforts.

The East Singhbhum District Administration organized a one-day art festival at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, focused on voter awareness. The festival, themed Art-81: Connecting Voters Through Art, was inaugurated by District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal.

The event was also graced by Project Director ITDA Deepankar Choudhary, ADM Law & Order Aniket Sachan, SDM Dhalbhum Shatabdi Majumdar, Deputy City Commissioner JNAC Krishna Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Panchanan Oraon, District Cooperative Officer Asha Toppo, District Sports Officer Avinesh Tripathi, and DPM JSLPS Sujit Bari, along with other officers and staff from the SVEEP Cell.

The audience, along with the District Election Officer, took a voter pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the democratic process. A colorful cultural program and a band performance were the highlights of the day.

The District Election Officer emphasized that the participation of youth in the electoral process is crucial for building a strong democracy. The one-day art festival aimed to inspire young voters to participate in the upcoming assembly elections, ensuring 100% youth turnout. He added that active involvement of young voters would make the election process more efficient.

Project Director ITDA, Choudhary, noted that the event attracted young voters through art while increasing awareness about the importance of voting. He emphasized that such programs spread voter awareness in an engaging and entertaining manner.
