Jamshedpur, Feb 3: Jharkhand State Road Transport Corporation employees staged a dharna to demand payment of salary dues and other benefits including the set up of Road Transport Corporation in the state, to cancel new appointments with a seven pointer demand memorandum protested before the office of the deputy commissioner on Monday.
They were led by senior union leader Rakeshwar Pandey. At the site Pandey while talking to the media persons said that the problems laid by the employees of transport department should entertained by the district administration and should solve them as early as possible.
Pandey further said that if in the next 15 days the three months due salary is not provided the employees will be forced to stage a massive protest and can go for hunger protest also, added Pandey.
On the occasion MLA Banna Gupta, Congress district President Ravindra Jha, Union General Secretary Sanjeev Srivastav, Seema Mahapatra, Usha Singh, Gayatri Das, Shikha Choudhary, Jammi Bhaskar and Ajay Singh were present.
