Jamshedpur: Minister of Mines, Steel, Labour and Employment Narendra Singh Tomar on Saturday laid stone for the 100-bed modern hospital of ESIC at Adityapur.
While laying the foundation stone, Tomar said that with the construction of the hospital, a long-awaited dream of the ESI-insured people and their family members in the city and nearby areas would be fulfilled.
�The hospital will prove to be a great help to the people who are otherwise unable to get multi specialty hospital facilities.
All the modern techniques and facilities will be made available to the patients,� said the minister, who was welcomed by Tata Steel MD TV Narendran, VP (corporate services) Sunil Bhaskaran and BJP leaders on his arrival at the Sonari Airport. State BJP president Dr Ravindra Rai accompanied him from Ranchi to the city.
The hospital, being constructed will cost about Rs 100 crore. In this 100-beded hospital, various health treatment services will be available, including medical, surgical, orthopaedic, cardiac science, gynaecology, eye, ENT, paediatrics, skin diseases, dentistry, psychology OPD services, emergency services, radiology department, X-ray room, Ultrasound room, Mammography room, patients ward, ICU and laboratory. The construction of the hospital building will be completed within the scheduled time limit.
Officials of ESIC said that with the completion of the hospital, unprecedented improvement would be made in the health checkup of the insured employees and their families. The 100 bedded multi specialty hospital will be built on an area of 19340 square metre of land with an estimated cost of about Rs 104 crores.
The establishment of this multi specialty hospital at Ankleshwar will immensely help the beneficiaries of the nearby localities in a big way.
The ESIC Hospital, Adityapur, is unique in its own way. This hospital will cater to the need of 250000 beneficiaries of Kolhan area. After completion, this hospital will have all the facilities comparable to any private corporate hospital.
Several BJP leaders met the minister today. They included the MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato, Saryu Roy, Dr Dineshanand Goswami, Shailendra Singh, Amarpreet Singh Kale, Rambabu Tiwary, Dulal Bhuiyan, Anil Modi, Menka Sardar, Ajay Srivastava and Bunty Singh.
