Jamshedpur, Dec 21: Sensation gripped the area under Adityapur police station area after an unidentified man’s body was found in bushes near JMT Auto premises.
The incident came to light on when local residents noticed a body lying inside the bushes and immediately informed the police.
On getting the information, the Adityapur police rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area, and secured the spot.
Considering the condition in which the body was found, police suspect murder at first glance.
The circumstances suggest that the person may have been killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the location.
However, officials clarified that the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination.
The deceased is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years of age, but his identity has not yet been established.
The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem, while police have also collected necessary evidence from the spot.
Police teams are questioning nearby residents, factory workers, and passers-by to gather information that could help identify the deceased and reconstruct the sequence of events.
CCTV footage from areas around the site is also being examined for any suspicious activity.
Police said the case is being investigated from all possible angles, including murder, accident, or other causes of death.
Following the incident, fear has spread among local residents, who have demanded a swift investigation and early disclosure of the truth.
