Jamshedpur: To ensure the successful and widespread observance of Veer Bal Diwas, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jharkhand unit, has constituted a four-member state-level team. The initiative aims to take the inspiring saga of the supreme sacrifice of the Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to every citizen across the state.
Paying homage to the immortal sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas — Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh — BJP Jharkhand has entrusted State General Secretary Manoj Singh with the responsibility of Convener of the Veer Bal Diwas program. BJP Yuva Morcha State President Shashank Raj, State Executive Committee member Kulwant Singh Bunty, and former Vice President of Ranchi Metropolitan Harvinder Singh Bedi have been appointed as Co-Conveners.
Under this initiative, the BJP has decided to organize a series of programs across all districts and at the Mandal (block) level of Jharkhand on December 26. As per the plan, morning processions, quiz competitions and intellectual seminars will be organised at the district level, while Mandal-level teams will be responsible for the smooth and effective conduct of the events at the grassroots. Senior BJP leaders, office bearers and party workers will actively participate to ensure the success of the programs.
On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will himself visit a Gurdwara to pay his respects and offer tributes on behalf of the nation, remembering the unparalleled sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also share with the nation the heroic saga of the Sahibzadas and convey a message of unity, courage and commitment to national duty.
State Executive Committee member and Co-Convener Kulwant Singh Bunty said that Veer Bal Diwas, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, aims to convey the extraordinary sacrifice, valour and devotion of the Sahibzadas to every citizen, particularly the younger generation. He said that this historic decision has helped connect the nation with the legacy of its brave sons and has inspired the youth with values of courage, patriotism and responsibility towards the nation.
Kulwant Singh Bunty further stated that the BJP is committed to ensuring that the inspiring story of the Sahibzadas’ sacrifice reaches every corner of Jharkhand through Veer Bal Diwas. He added that this period is observed as ‘Shaheedi Week’ by the Sikh community, during which no auspicious ceremonies or celebrations are held. Instead, the community remembers the supreme sacrifice of the Sahibzadas with reverence, restraint and deep introspection, paying heartfelt homage to their martyrdom.
